On October 27, the Southwest filed a statement with the SEC. Southwest and Airtran are discussing a possible integration. Airtran would become part of the Southwest name. I posted the link below if anyone is interested in reading the full filing. Click Form 425.

I think this will be great for passengers. For those who like to fly Southwest it will give them opportunity to use Southwest to fly into Atlanta. This will allow Southwest to compete with Delta in Deltas home hub. It will also give Southwest its first flights outside of the US due to flights to Mexico and the Caribbean.
ReplyDeleteI flew into the Atlanta airport this summer. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. However, this integration will be good for the company and allow them to expand, as well as compete more.
